Young Women

In our church we are asked to volunteer our time in callings where we help in different ways. Right now I am serving as a teacher for the young women of the ward (our church) who range from the age of 12-18. It is actually a lot of fun. I think it is so nice that our youth have friends who try to help one another, share similar values and are learning and growing together.

Some of our young women were part of the play "The Little Mermaid" at the Jr. High School, so we went to support them. I brought Peyton along and she loved it and felt very special at the end of the night when she got a photo with Ariel herself and Sebastian.

We also held a fun dance with the boys. I was surprised by how much the kids loved it and danced the night away.
But our really big activity was our Spring Fling fundraiser dinner and dance. It turned out awesome! The food was delicious, the dance was a lot of fun and best of all the kids made a lot of money to support them for their camp this summer and other activities. My parents came out to join us and it was a great night!
Boppie bought them each a flower and they felt so special. He's such a sweet, sappy grandpa... and they are lucky to have such wonderful grandparents.
