I'm a firm believer that some days its important to skip out on responsibility and have some fun. Okay, really I'm a firm believer that most days should be fun and some days we should have to be responsible, but apparently I'm the minority of that mindset. Go figure.

After Peyton's first soccer game at the beginning of September we attempted to go to this new snow cone place near our house for a treat after the game. Apparently all of Moreno Valley had that exact same thought and when we got there the line was out the door and there was a 45 minute wait. For snow cones. Nope. So with crying children we got Slurpee's and promised to try again another day.

The following Friday was a scorcher, Wes and I had taken the younger 2 kids on a nice stroll near Peyton's school and were burning hot, so we figured that day was as good as any to get snow cones. So, we pulled Peyton out of school for lunch and a treat. And the day ended up being a real treat. Everyone was happy and it was a pretty special day. We took Peyton back to school that day and she drew the cutest picture of us at Snowopolis. I'm so glad to have days and moments like that.
