November Wrap-Up

November seems like it just came and went so quickly. Having a week off of school during the middle of it sure helped. It's hard getting back into the swing of things after such a fun holiday week.

Here's some more fun/funny things that happened during the month.

Wes put up our Christmas lights... see him up there hanging over the edge of the roof?! Eeeeeks, glad he is willing to do it because I can't get past the 4th rung.
Peyton doing story-time for Jovie one night before bed.
That same night Wes was leaving and the girls just looked so cute waving good-bye from their window. It's just the cutest thing whenever you leave and they are awake seeing their little faces and hands through the window.
Jovie asks to "go on a date" everyday we after we drop Peyton off at school. The date is a little 5 minute drive north of Peyton's school where the donkeys hang out each morning. Sometimes we hit up the connecting park too... but too many times it is wet or too cold for that.

She also came in from smelling the flowers one day and had pollen all over her face. My cute little bumble bee girl.
Fun little lunch at The Habit Burger after taking Griffin to get his flu shot. It was such a beautiful day. The weather throughout November was the best!
Peyton came home one day with a gift certificate for being "caught being college ready" which means she had done something throughout the week to earn a red paw print. On Fridays the front office randomly picks a name and reads it over the loud speaker. Her name happened to be chosen and she was so excited!
A fun little hike at Mt. Rubidoux one day while Miss Peyton was at school.
After Peyton's soccer games we always took them to get Slurpees. Somehow it became a habit to come do silly things through the window to try and make me laugh. ( I was usually in the car with Griffin since he was almost always asleep).
He also started sitting in the carts like a big boy. This was his first time doing it at the good ol' 99 Cent store.
Girl date to get frozen yogurt.
Peyton took this one night while we were out playing in the backyard.

 More bedtime stories.
The girls LOVE playing with Griffin and the poor boy can't even get a diaper change without them laying all over him and trying to play with him constantly.

We watched a friend's dog for a week and Jovie enjoyed taking the dog for a walk and picking flowers all along the way.
Funny Thanksgiving hats before the break (they are turkey legs, the side-view was better). This is Peyton with her friend Sammy.
Eating like a big boy anything he can get his hands on.
Uncle Shaun came to visit. In case you can't tell the girls were pretty happy to have him with us. We sure miss him!
I got brave and did my own hair... I want to learn to do my own color to save money and because I think it is really fun actually. I watched a lot of YouTube tutorials before attempting it.
Some fun photos from our family photo session.
Jovie took this one of me. It's her vantage point for most of the day. We were driving back from doing a craft with my dad.
My cuties all playing together.
Playing at gymnastics free play.
And lest you forgot their Pokemon obsession they made this video. The Jigglypuff song.
Oh and Yes, I forgot, big news! Griffin started doing an army crawl as of 11/20. 1 day short of 7 months.

Season 1 Finale

Peyton ended her first soccer season in November. We were all sad to see it come to an end. We had a lot of fun and loved our Saturdays at the field and Peyton really LOVED playing and got a lot better by the end of the season. They lost I think all of their games but the first and last, but we went out with a "W" and a love of the sport.

We ended the season with a fun team party at Shakey's pizza and really enjoyed the other girls she played with, their families and the coach. Peyton was given the award for best dribbler, which she really did well doing. But, she could never get the aggressive part going.. we will work on that.

I'm still not sure how it all went down, but I was playing a game with Jovie and helping out a little and not paying much attention to what we were doing. At the end of the game the machine just started spitting out ticket after ticket... I think she ended up winning 250. It was crazy funny.
 Their last cheer.
Jovie with her friends. These 3 played together at every practice and every game. Landon was so sweet and patient with these 2 little girls.

The Day After

Wes always makes me wait until the day after Thanksgiving to decorate for Christmas, but once Friday hits I gets to decorating.

Our nephew Ryan was also playing hockey in Riverside that day so the whole family met to cheer him on! It's fun when we all get together.

Every year we are in California for Thanksgiving we go to the Festival of Trees in downtown Riverside the day after Thanksgiving too.
One of the crafts they had was making cards for kids in the hospital.
And we had our first Santa encounter of the year there too.

After the Festival of Trees we finished up decorating and went to bed. It was Peyton's turn to put the star on the tree.

I love our fun little traditions.

Thanksgiving Week

We had the best Thanksgiving break.

We started with a fun hike of the "M" in Moreno Valley right near us. I was nervous doing this because we had done it a few years back from a different route and it sucked. But, we had found a different route that looked easier we wanted to try. My friend who has a few kids around our kids ages did it a year ago and said her kids had to be carried, so she kinda freaked me out. But we tried it anyway. And am glad we did because the kids were incredible (did the whole thing 3.8 miles with barely a complaint), the weather was nice, Slurpees afterward were delish, and it was an all around great day.

The next day we woke up, picked out some outfits and took family photos with very very little preparation. After we used coupons we've had since the summer to go mini golfing at Fiesta Village! It was one of the best days!!! Plus we also got some free ice cream so there's that.

That night Peyton and her older girl cousins were invited to spend the night at Nana's house to prepare for Thanksgiving.

The next day we woke up and had a great Thanksgiving, which included a fun family soccer game and a bomb dinner! The weather was soooooooo windy during the soccer game it made for some funny moments like Asher crouching in the back and Jovie and Tate playing Mickey Mouse on the sidelines. At dinner, we could def. tell the girls set up the dinner table being that they put all the boys on one side of the table not accounting for elbow room. But they were all such good sports and enjoyed being so close to one another.

And I was crazy enough this year to go Black Friday shopping again with my sisters. And honestly it really was pretty fun!
