Watching The Grass Grow

My sister in law recently left a comment on something to the effect of: "Watching the grass grow together without kids is a great date night."

And that's pretty much what Wes and I did on our last date night.

At the time I didn't know how important that time together was, but now looking at it, I am so happy we did that this particular night. It set me up for a really hard week. I love having nights together alone. Watching the grass grow, or fishing in the quiet outside on a beautiful evening is simply spectacular as long as we are together. I wouldn't want to go through this life without him by my side. He is truly my best friend, my confidant, my everything. I love him with all of my heart!
