Our San Francisco Treat!

Wes and I spent our 6th anniversary (January 6) in San Fransisco City for 3.5 days! Boy did we have a BLAST!!!!!! I wish we were still there. We left Peyton at home (which was best for us all) and in good hands, with the Alemans on Friday, Kati and Patrick on Saturday/Sunday, and Hayley the rest of the time. We are so blessed to have family nearby and willing to help out with her. Thank you again everyone for the help and rides to the airport. Peyton honestly didn't miss us one bit (she cried when we left for home). And, while I missed her fiercely, it was so nice to just be with Wes enjoying time alone together! By the end of our trip we felt like we had practically seen everything in the city, even if we just drove by or through an area, and were tired and ready to come home.

Friday:
We left from LAX on our first flight ever together! I love to fly; probably because it means I am going somewhere fun and far.

Just a few photos to document our first fight.

After the flight, checking out our rental car and the drive we got to our hotel located on Lombard street and decided to just drive around and see what we would find. Btw, we loved our hotel location. It was a clean, safe, bum free area, that had tons of shops and restaurants all around. It ended up that our hotel was probably a mile or a mile and a half from the crooked part of Lombard (possibly the most crooked street in the world). So, we decided to drive it. After we drove down, we parked, walked back up via the stairs on the side of the street, and then ran down screaming. People just laughed and pointed at us, but we just had to do it.
Our view driving down

We had to take a photo of this garage just to show how "hilly" the streets here are. I am sure garage doors are super expensive being that they have to be custom made. Notice the slant of the door?

After Lombard street we just kept on driving and enjoyed the scenery, having no idea where we were or where we were going for that fact. We drove through North Beach, and by Washington Sq. We ended up in the Japanese Area (on purpose) to enjoy dinner at Benihana. This is a yearly tradition for us on our anniversary. In 2005 we had our first kiss at Disneyland and after had dinner at Benihana. And, each year we get our photo taken there. You can see past years here, here, here, and here (maybe 1 day I will put them all up on 1 blog post).

Just some awesome views of the city.

After dinner we went to Union Sq. did some window shopping, walked around, watched the ice skaters (and had our photo taken there by a radio station who hooked us up with free Pirate tattoos.  :) (http://www.wild949.com/cc-common/gallery/photos.html?album_id=306154#/16/18536287).

And then, being pooped, full and chilly we decided to head back and relax at the hotel. ;) What a wonderful day and what a wonderful way to spend our anniversary!!!

I will post the rest of our trip soon. We still have 3 days to go!
