Calabasas Festival in Pumpkin

See how I did that. Calabasas is Spanish for pumpkin... so the two are really interchangeable. And there is your Spanish lesson for the day.

A few weeks ago we went out to Camarillo to visit the good ole' Huefner family. It was Tyler's last game of his regular soccer season, so we had to support (They of course went on to post season--- once you see the pictures you'll see why). It was such a fun weekend. Plus, we were joined on Saturday by Wes' brother's Shaun, and Patrick, and Patrick's girlfriend Kati.

We went out to breakfast at this really neat restaurant at the airport, then watched Tyler dominate the field as his teams best defender, and then went to the Calabasas pumpkin festival, which we decided then and there would become a yearly tradition. It was so much fun! For the $5 entrance fee we got to go on all the rides, bouncy things, plus they had a lot of fair food and other stands, which we enjoyed.

We always love visiting family, especially all the cute kids. Thanks again Huefners for your hospitality.

The best dang cheering crowd ever

See this kid has some moves

Tyler had his first chance to play goalie, and didn't let one goal by... and like I said, he was by far the best defender on his team (he's soooooo fast). And, they would've won if not for dang golden shoes... they tied 5-5

2 of the most squeezable people I know

Apparently having the time of my life (sheesh)

I don't care who you are... this thing was good for 1 thing... a good fall!

3 Months

Happy Birthday my little Boo!

Baby P is 3 months old today (she shared her 3rd month b-day with Boppie on his 55th b-day)!

We seriously love her to pieces (and that is a major, major understatement). Honestly, there are no words to describe the joy I feel every moment I look at this little bug.

Peyt at 3 months:
has been pretty much sleeping through the night for a month (has had a few scattered nights where she has woken up once)
Wakes up around 7:30/8 am usually giggling or talking to herself, I move her into bed with me, then she talks to herself for about 20-30 min, eats and falls back asleep until 10/10:30 am (I love her all the more for this)
Has old man hair, or a mini mullet--- you know, bald on the top with the ring around the sides and back

Has rolled over 3 times
(ok... I was doing laundry, so please disregard the piles behind her)

Is almost always happy, seriously so sweet and good
Example: On coming home from Ashleigh's wedding we uncovered her car seat and found her like this...

Upon seeing us look at her she started to smile, so we could only see her little eyes start smile squinting even with the bow in her face.
Sleeps a lot in the day
Blows major bubbles
LOVES to suck on things, pacifier, fists, her arm (she gave herself a hickey on her arm Sunday)
Loves to see me, and will follow me around the room with her eyes
Is a good little kicker
Kinda crazy, she gets most excited when we bounce her on our knees, or move her arms and legs really fast
Still enjoys eating a lot
Has started to finally like being read to
Enjoys her baths
Still sleeps in our room in her bassinet (I know I need to move her out sooner or later--- I choose later)
Likes to watch t.v.
And, is basically the world's most awesome baby ever!

Rollie Pollie

Today at 5:40pm, little Peyton rolled over for the first time. We laughed at her because as soon as she did she laid there with a shocked look on her face for about 3 minutes. We then put her back on her tummy, and she did it again instantaneously with the same result.

Then, as soon as we tried to get it on video, she stopped. Funny girl.

Utah and More

So... the first weekend in October we went up to St. George for some fun. Well, and to watch the marathon and especially to visit Wes' grandparents.

His poor Grandma has been so sick the past 2 months, and was unable to come down for the blessing, so we decided to visit them and introduce them to lil' Peyty-pooh. We were so glad we went. We loved watching the runners (even the ones who pooped themselves, threw up in front of us, and collapsed), we love our favorite restaurants there, Wes was able to go the priesthood with his Grandpa (which was a true treat), and we saw 2 rainbows... YES, one was even a DOUBLE RAINBOW!

And, best of all, Peyton slept all the way there and back (1 feeding both times), so the drive was easy squeezy!

And because I can't (ok, really don't want to) resist, here are some randoms of us and baby P.

Another "Tick" Off my List...

So... for years now, I've had a list of "Things to do before I DIE." Today at the world's most ghetto family fair, I was able to tick off another item.

Folks.... I rode the bull. Yes, I put on my glove, literally jumped on the bull's back (mechanical of course) and rode that bad boy. Was I scared.. heck no. Did I laugh until I cried... oh yeah. I even got applauded after my performance.

So one more thing I can check off, and so many more to go!

And, we did of course enjoy the throngs of W.T. people, and the cowboys, and the tramp stamp gals, etc, etc, etc...

Peyton's Blessing

On Sunday, September 26th, 2010 we blessed Peyton Jane Aleman in the Lake Perris Ward in Perris, CA.

Our ward is so small, our huge group about doubled the size of our regular congregation.

As I know I have mentioned before I felt so blessed to have so many of our friends and family make it to this very special day for us. Not only that, but I was overwhelmed with the feelings of joy knowing I had my eternal family with me! I love my husband and daughter so much more than I could ever express here in words! And, Wes did an absolutely amazing, touching and thoughtful job on her blessing.

After the blessing, we went back to my parents house and had a delicious brunch... yummy. Brunch because our dang ward starts at 8:30 am (what do they think, we live in Utah or something)? But, the food was good, and it was so nice to have both families together. We are lucky dogs. :)

Thank you everyone who sacrificed to make it there, and we missed you Grandma and Grandpa Gubler!

Check out the size of our entire clan....

And, can you believe we didn't get one picture of Peyton by herself? We were excited to get her out of that dress, I don't think she liked being in it very much... too much fabric. :)

Flashback Friday

So... like I mentioned before, we had Peyton's 2 month pictures taken. And so, I decided to take this opportunity to show off what a cutie pie she is and incorporate good ole' flashback Friday at the same time.
